Homework:
1. Read 15 minutes
2. Math Due Friday
3. Check the BLOG
4. * Flashcards 2 times
*Last week your child took home a bag of flashcards. I am asking that you spend some time practicing math facts at least 2 times each week. You don’t have to do all of the cards each time. Just pick a handful each time. Practice makes Perfect!!!
Especially with grade 2, we have been practicing fact strategies such as Plus 1 Facts (4+1=5) and Plus 2 Facts (4+2=6). “If I know 4+1 then I know 4+2”.
We have also been working on “Turn-a-round” facts and Doubles –
Turn-a-rounds: 5+6 =11 so 6+5 = 11
Doubles: 5+5 = 10, 6+6 = 12. 7+7 = 14 etc.
These are strategies Grade 3 would have learned last year, but can continue to practice.

We are going to continue to work on the o_e sound this week as we didn’t have a chance to fully explore it.

Keep searching for o_e words around you home!
